Was convinced that Nasdaq would not break its 50 day moving average. Wrong.

Quickly hit limit orders in AOL and UNPH I completely forgot about, never thinking the market would go there.

Oh well.

Too early to bottom fish? Starting to drool again over the likes of QCOM, AOL, UNPH, CSCO, and PMCS (which almost completely ignored the sell off).

Justin: "You live by the sword, you die by the sword".

I say "you" euphemistically since I own a pure internet/technology portfolio also and got slammed today. How long will it last? History tells me that if/when the Nasdaq falls 25% off its high, buyers come flying back in and there is a strong rebound, i.e., the Nasdaq can still fall back further, to the 2100 level. Since there are no fundamentals behind this sell-off (poor earnings reports, world economic meltdown, hedge-fund scare, etc.) I doubt it will retreat that far. Take some comfort in that we are still up significantly for the year.

Thread:

For anybody interested, I have put together a little composite line graph showing the gains (YTD) from the NASDAQ Composite, DJIA, S&P 500, and of course our very own G&K Index and my G&K W&W Index. All five indexes started with an adjusted value of 100 on January 4th.

The results make me proud to be Chartmeister of the G&K W&W ;o)

Comments anyone?
