I'm definitely into QCOM for the long term. However, as I look at the last four days of trading: if on each day I had sold Q shortly after the open and bought it back in the afternoon, I would be about $40 per share to the good and still own the stock. There would be no immediate tax consideration for me as the stock is held in an IRA.

I suppose it is this kind of situation that attracts some people into day trading.

I'm not one of them, but it is tantalizing to speculate......
