Dear Diego and all: I just finished reading the earnings release and associated comments. I am very pleased.
First off--the beat the estimates by a penny. Not a lot but look at how high the bar was. A 51% INCREASE in diluted earnings per share. A lot of companies are beating estimates on a lowered bar--EMC is doing it on a substantially raised bar.
Secondly--Has anyone looked at the balance sheet? Impressive to say the least. This is one hell of a well run company. Examples--
Sales are up well over 30% yet accounts receivable and inventory basically flat. Thats impressive to me.
Current ratio over 4:1
Long term debt to equity minor (forgot to calc. but not large at all)

I noted that SG&A is up somewhat as a percentage of sales (who wants to bet they tucked a little cushion in there??)
Finally, regardless of what happens today to the stock price we must admit the CEO wrote a glowing report and has done his best to protect the shareholder value. I appreciate that. Too many of my holdings have CEO's with the attitude let the chips fall where they may. JDN
