Hmmm. everyone seems to be moving to online trading, how can you catch them off guard? Actually I have a big expensive broker and he appeared to be just as clueless as I.

Fidelity has many individual investors. They know how much margin leverage is present in the market so they could shake the tree with a pretty fair idea of who would fall out.

I find it rather coincidental that this big selloff is happening without regard to normal maket conditions. It may be that a lot of late tax payers had huge checks in the mail and started selling to cover them. Then the big boys saw their money being used so they decided to join in drive the market down to a more suitable level for bigger profits as earnings surprises come in?

Otherwise we will hear some major negatives and the market's hay days are over?
