Gary,

This markets NOT in a good mood. A lot of people bought stocks 30% higher than where they are today. As well, reasonable to good earnings reports are still breaking stocks of quality companies DOWN.

I have a good feeling about earnings, but it might not matter. They may just wring out the excesses some more at EMC's expense. It is considered an "overvalued" stock right now. Yes...ever at 100. It's not me making that valuation judgement, either.

The tide is now a little different (now called a RIP tide). Don't fight the trend, and save some powder for when it moves lower, which it looks like it will do. I'd be very surprised if stellar earnings can save it, because the cross-hairs seem to be on it.

Hope I am wrong, but the attitude is: sell first, take profit, and get back in later. It's ironic, but:

People that bought at 125 for a trade are down, so become LT holders.
People that bought at 80 for a LT position, don' want profit "evaporation" so become ST sellers to preserve it.

Regards,

Steve
