Jon, that wasn't abuse. You need to drag him out and give him and GSM a good flogging - that's the traditional treatment. We used to flog Bill Frezza but that horse is so dead we are starting to look foolish beating it.

Meanwhile Tero, what do you think will come out of NTT and the other operators meeting in Japan? Especially on the chip rate. I bet on a single cdmaOne compatible chip rate with a few bells and whistles which can be managed in software easily enough so that W-CDMA can be 'product differentiated' so Ericy has a little figleaf and NTT can pose in front of the Japanese consumer with dignity intact.

There was a little question in there and I would be so impressed if a 'fifth columnist' would deign to answer - you even answered a couple of Brianh's questions so please give your opinion on this important question. I'll take you for a ride in my Gulfstream. We're off to the South of France for an SI Q! victory celebration = VE Day = Victory over Ericy.

Maurice

PS: For the more credulous of readers, I'm just kidding about the Gulfstream, especially since the $50 drop in Q! from the $175 high and the drop in Globalstar from the $36 high down to $18 or so.
