What massive sell-off by insiders at these low prices?

Yesterday, some were in fear that Wednesday earnings and the CC or shareholders' meeting would bring more bombshells especially about funny accounting and even worse figures than 15 cents.

This morning Papa Rosen dispelled all that in an instance. No funny accounting and nothing worse than the 15 cents, although the detailed explanations of how we got to 15 cents are still not fully known, and might not be pleasant reading.

But on a gloomy day like this, think of the good things that might happen.

Obviously, the media is warming to Papa Rosen. They will get another dose of him in a CC on Wednesday and then the Shareholders meeting on Thursday. Instead of angry bitter scenes against Mason and EP, there will be bucolic love-ins with Papa Rosen.

He is recruiting all the analysts and media and they will now see it as their role to explain why COMPAQ is not a basket case. We will get a serious attempt to understand how COMPAQ is no longer a PC company, plain and simple.

I think the earnings will be in excess of 15 cents.

He may make a statement about a share-buyback.

He will give clear guidance about AV and generally generate more enthusiasm about COMPAQ.

To Vaibhav R.D. - What massive inside selling?

I am curious - what massive inside selling are you talking about? Are you referring to the sale by Mason back in February? Unless you can point to meaningful inside selling other than Earl Mason in February then I'm afraid that your post is nothing more than a lot of nonsense designed to exaggerate and strike fear in cpq shareholders. In a nutshell why don't you name the names of the cpq insiders who are selling because they may know more about the Y2k effects than we do.

Anxiously awaiting your respose.

P.S. Fellow cpq shareholders - don't you just love some of the
panic propaganda poppping up today?? Don't fall for it!!
