The skid in Internet stocks followed a prediction from Morgan Stanley Dean Witter analyst Mary Meeker, who has been a prominent Internet-stock cheerleader. She said in a New Yorker magazine interview published Monday that she expects "a big correction" in Internet stocks sometime this year. "I think a big correction would be very healthy," she said.
******

Don't matter how good it is. If there is a big correction it'll get knocked down like all other internet stocks. A decrease in value fot the 2 major indexes would be very healthy right now.

Frank, I realize what you are saying but why would I hold tight to a stock that could drop 8.00 as it has just done? I would sell and buy back once the overall trend corrects. Nets are on a down trend.. not a great time to bring this out as we all know what Nasdaq can do to a stock in a a very short time.
Check this out if anyone is still not convinced.. fast.quote.com only 1 in the sea of red with a small uptick. Thinks will improve, the question is when?

To all Newbies:

Frank is a fine example of a good poster on this thread. He is calm, cool and collected. Often he will come on and settle everyone down. His posts are insightful and very logical.

Although, like Frank, I am long on BIDS, I do not have the same patience as Frank. Especially, to the Naysayers who despite the performance of this stock, continue to post negative and distorted stories. Some of those naysayers have even gone as far as making up stories and forged documents in an effort to scare off potential new investors. With them my patience is ZERO. I guess it's my Italian blood.

Hello Frank,

Thanks for your great post. I'm a newbie to SI but
have been in bid.com since the $5 range. I
guess you got in a lot lower than me. I've read this thread
for a few weeks and I am enjoying them all, even the
ones from the so called smeg-heads which we know who they are. I know,
no name calling, but sometimes you half to take a shot.

I hope to contribute someday.

thanks,

R.D. ( in for the long haul)
