Last year(or was it early this year?), the company told me that they envision being a distributor of the Genset. They were looking for a product that would extend the range of generator sizes they market.

That may be overshadowed by the fuel cell developments, as the fuel cells can power generators of the same output. Since fuel cells are likely to remain expensive for the short term, the Turbo Gensets may fill the back-up power / small business niche. The gensets are about 1/2 as efficient as the fuel cells.

I find this quote from their web page interesting:

"Projects concluded include pioneering a hybrid passenger vehicle using our proprietary axial flux high speed generator driven by a gas turbine engine as the prime mover. This environmentally friendly series hybrid vehicle used a battery pack as energy storage. We are presently contracted by the European Commission to develop a series hybrid powertrain based on our turbogenerator technology and a flywheel system for bus and light rail type applications."
