el... yes there was a link to the original article a few posts before yours. Actually I have been thinking about it quite a bit. If you remember the original debate was whether to sell AV or part of it, or to keep it and float it. I thought they had decided to keep it and float part of it. I suppose they could review that decision. I don't think they would get very much if they sold it.

I think the article, like many commentaries on COMPAQ, does not do justice to the clarity of the COMPAQ strategy for AV and the internet. I know the execution has been slow and awkward, but the strategy is clear.
