MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 1999--Informix® Corporation (NASDAQ:IFMX - news), the leading provider of innovative database technology, today announced that it is shipping Version 3.6 of INFORMIX -Data Director(TM) for Visual Basic.

This powerful model-driven data access and data management platform delivers substantial gains in productivity by enabling application developers to rapidly prototype and build efficient, database-aware enterprise applications using a ''drag-and-drop'' approach. Version 3.6 provides integration, to enable Data Director developers to take advantage of gains in performance, productivity and Web and Windows deployment. The upgrade also includes support for international formats.

The updated product provides developers with another opportunity to take advantage of the multi-tiered development strategies possible with the tight integration of Informix Dynamic Server(TM) with Microsoft's Component Object Model (COM) and the Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS).

Take a look at AAPL.

Same pattern... Run up last three quarters, selloff on release of numbers (above analyst at the whisper). This quarter no run-up, but still a sell-off.
