OK, I get it. But lots of stocks don't have the quote at the bottom of the page, and we already know that "STAY" is not otherwise in use and that the company has preliminarily expressed interest in that ticker if there is an IPO, why not just use STAY and correct it later if need be?

I vote for putting the thread in the IPO wing, but I don't feel strongly about it. -Eric

Mads,

I don't think there is much moderation at all with regard to thread creation, and thread names don't need to contain ticker symbols. To get quotes attached to thread, you have to specifically request it of the SI Administrator. (Notice the VETX thread still doesn't have them, and I wish the thread creator would do something about that.)

Unless I'm really mistaken, you guys can create a new thread anywhere you want called anything you want. Maybe if it blatantly violated the category you put it in, SI might do something, but other than that, I think you'd be good to go.

Decisions, decisions, decisions . . .

. . . I'll punt to all of you on what you think is best as far as location within SI's web of threads (although #12 looked clearer). If you need help on drafting or reviewing the initial statement let me know.

BTW, Mads, I always understood the stock quotes on threads to be optional upon the request of the thread, so I wouldn't think it would matter if we were simply set up in the stock area, rather than the coffee shop area.

I don't know if people really search through all the lists of threads within the various categories --- I know I usually just use the search feature and go to whatever threads come up with a match to my keywords on the search feature.

Mads:

You could start a thread in the IPO's at the appropriate time and point it to an existing thread in the Web/Internet area that is already up and running.
