Network Peripherals Announces New Keystone24g(TM) Switch, 'Powered by NuWaveArchitecture(TM)'
First of a Series of Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet Switches Based on Revolutionary Wire-Speed, Non-Blocking NuWaveArchitecture(TM)
MILPITAS, Calif., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Network Peripherals Inc. (NPI) (Nasdaq: NPIX - news), an innovative leader in the network switching industry, today announced the release of its Keystone24g, the first Gigabit Ethernet switch to be built with NPI's revolutionary NuWaveArchitecture, also announced separately today.

''The new Keystone24g outperforms competitive offerings at a price more than a third lower, and will be joined by a line of new switches 'Powered by NuWaveArchitecture' which we will announce during the next few weeks,'' said Jerry McDowell, Vice President of Marketing for NPI. ''We believe switches like the Keystone24g will set a new standard for price-performance in the Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet switch market,'' McDowell added.

Features: Built for Speed -- and Flexibility

The Keystone24g is a fully managed standalone switch with 24 fixed Fast Ethernet ports and two optional Gigabit up-links. The Keystone24g features advanced traffic-enhancing capabilities such as wire-speed IP routing and support for Quality of Service (QoS) traffic classes, IP Multicast and protocol-based virtual local-area networks (VLANs).

The Keystone24g can be used as a concentrator for a wiring closet, as the collapsed backbone for a small business or branch office, or as a departmental switch in a larger enterprise. The new switch installs quickly, provides instant bandwidth relief and reduces operating costs through simple management and automatic features.

Interesting to see your USWB entry was 2 points below mine.
That makes a big difference on a day like today. I am still
amazed at how you nailed its bottom that day. I had waited
until I was convinced it was on its way back up, which is why
I entered 2 points higher. It leaves me wondering what I'm going
to do differently, but I still don't know. I didn't sell it today.
I just watched it drop. Now I have to decide what to do tomorrow.
My choices are sell if it drops more, hold if it drops more and
hope the news will get it going at some point. Or, if I'm lucky
see a gap up, then same decision. Volume of the rises and falls
will really tell me.
