William, Exactly, getting the names right is the only skill required for making money in Internet stocks. It took me a long time to learn that. To me, name of a second-tier company is never right. Even the name of a first tier company is not necessarily right. But AMZN is definitely a right name for me.

I hear you. Trying to time the market is probably the single biggest reason fortunes are not realised.

However, it appears that you are not a short term trader. You have strong hands. If you hold more then a year, and are right, you will cleanup. But that is a different game than many on this thread are playing.

What is not understood by many who try to replicate your trades is that the money is in the holding and discipline.
