One to one marketing is hot. Target marketing revolutionized other industies (i.e. credit cards, direct mail retailers) Look at the price action on BVSN recently. Of course there is concerns about how much consumers mind retailers looking over their shoulder at every single action they make on the web. There is potential future legislation against e-commerce vendors to protect consumer privacy.
