Byron,

So, you can assemble a NT server yourself (a very basic one, 2 processor), sell it to a mid-cap company (the purchasign department must love buying the server from you) and support it when the inevitable problems arise (how many places are you going to be at the same time)?

SUNW is one fabulous company. They make excellent machines. But, they do not make NT servers. Nor do clone makers and/or Emachines and MicroWorkz have the bandwidth to engineer, build, support and service enough NT servers to support the mid-size companies around the world (where there is strong demand for NT servers). IBM, CPQ and HP are the only 3 companies capable of competing with DELL in this area, but they have problems being profitable it seems because of inferior business models.

BTW, I do know of quite a few deployment of emterprise mission-critical s/w on NT servers. The existence of which, I am afraid, may be interpreted by you as a sort of attack on the wonderful company called SUNW. It is nothing of that sort.
