I don't have the slightest idea what "end of TV" program you saw, but I certainly do not have a TV in my house. I do spend perhaps a quarter of my time in hotels, though, where I can verify the prurient nullity of the medium, both "news" and "entertainment," to my craw's surfeit, and even sample the breathtaking feculence of Spectravision, or proceed past a convenience store chock full of porn--all the way to a conference panel where I will savor the indignant queries and protests of well meaning people rising up to declaim against porn on the net, where it represents well under one percent of all URLs. TV executives and their catered politicians are especially enraged by this threat to the Republic.
