Well, it's like the CIOs have already spent a bunch fixing problems and have got somewhat of an handle on the situation at present, so they are not going to rock the boat any more even if the money is there. Otherwise, the auditors (who have to certify the system as Y2K complaint) will be chasing a moving target which is unacceptable. This has decimated several ERP vendors like PSFt, for example. And the Burkeites claim this to be DELL's Achiles heel as well.

Of course once Jan 1, '00 is there there's going to be a diluge of buying to catch up ... but I guees Wall Street can make up for that in 3 days using sector rotation. ;-)
