Is the key word here "..live casino game.." would a computer generated casino game be considered a live game - and secondly what is the "...method.." the patent applies to is this a specific or general "method"

(ps not asking for a fight from all you defensive types out there- just curiously asking!!!!)

Dave,

It's comforting to know you're with Team Starnet!<g> Actually many posters forget that SI threads are intended for the conveyance of information and discussion whatever it happens to be as opposed to use for purposes of moral support. While this patent is troubling for the industry, it is potentially very profitable for HGN because as I understand it, it gives them exclusive control over simultaneous watch-and-wager. What this really means is they broadcast to you and you wager through their system. Theoretically, Starnet is well-positioned as it is with the current system of placing wagers and viewing the events on television or perhaps via I-broadcast setups that would effectively negate having to license anything with HGN. In order for HGN's service to be appealing a very fast low latency connection to the Internet will be required and for most people that's probably at least a few years away. Whether cable modem service can provide the QoS required remains to be seen.
