Tulvio,
I too own QCOM, ATHM, AOL and EMC. For the volatile stocks, I like to look at the 5pt charts before I do anything. Though they have given sell signals, I didn't want to sell quite yet. The reason....Several are at support points that I would at least expect to see a bounce from. If the NYSEBP turns positive, I may rethink and hold.

BWDIK,
JXM

Tulvio-
I sold SONE today, and would really like to get back in now that it's nearly 20 pts lower, but I see the internet sector at the risky end of the field. Tommy's excellent dissertation inclines me toward buying it back, but after staring at lots of 'nut stock charts like you I saw just too many sell signals and I think the basic materials have a lot of gas left in them, making for a fine risk/reward ratio. Look at ALT and CXIPY, not to mention some of the more prominent plays like HAL and SLB.

Maybe we get a pullback in basic materials, and maybe the 'nuts bounce hard upward from here, but I think I can pick up some good internet stocks for less in a few months. Meantime, I can make 20-30% in some energy plays. Maybe OJ and Judy sniff at small returns like that, but I'll take 'em.

BTW, in addition to basic materials I think real estate (SPK, CEI) and healthcare (whodathunkit?) (HMA, OCR, COL) might be coming out of their doldrums.

Now watch SONE double into the split, but only if I don't buy it back.
