Spoke with a couple of brokers this evening
after golf. General consensus seems to be that fund managers are doing a bit of market manipulation and freaking the market. Game plan is to buy same or more shares back at far cheaper prices so next quarter's profits look wonderful--as will their bonuses. A rather cynicial point of view, but well taken. It's not the first time such things have happened. So, no, I'm not planning to sell at these bargain prices. Beware the same game next October.
