Greystar's third drilling rig joins Angostura project Greystar Resources Ltd GSL Shares issued 47,200,388 1999-04-16 close $1.38 Monday Apr 19 1999 Mr. Willy Spat reports Greystar has commenced operations with a third diamond drill at its wholly owned Angostura gold-silver project in northeast Colombia. On April 18, the third drill began a scout drilling program of approximately 3,000 metres (10,000 feet) in El Silencio, Quebrada Paez, an area of extensive old gold mine workings that has never before been drilled. El Silencio, Quebrada Paez, is approximately one kilometre (3,300 feet) due south, and 450 metres (1,500 feet) lower than of that portion of La Alta deposit where step-out drilling is presently taking place (Stockwatch April 12, 1999). Greystar has also received salient fire assay results from two recent infill holes, IF99-04 and IF99-05. The holes, mineralized from top to bottom, were drilled from the same station 85 metres (280 feet) southeast of holes IF99-02 and IF99-03 (Stockwatch April 6, 1999). The geology of the drilled area is characterized by altered porphyry, mostly silicified, argillized and sericitized carrying pyrite as stockworks of stringers, disseminations and veinlets in shear zones. Subvertical mafic dikes 0.5 of a metre to 1.5 metres (1.6 feet to 4.9 feet) thick are occasionally present. Irregular xenoliths of gneiss make up about 10 per cent of the core.
