I agree, edamo. I certainly am not one of these
y2k doomsayers.

The effect after 2000 could be extremely positive
for Dell.

Before 2000, I think the effect remains negative.
Relatively few BIOS are non-compliant, I doubt that
this will spur much new Dell sells short-term.

Just pointing out that, imho, there is indeed
a real y2k factor coming into the calculations,
based on what I'm seeing. I'm not clear on
the impact, but it sure seems to be there.
