I've seen the bus in operation (Chicago). Very quiet. A thick, fog-like vapor floats out of the exhaust pipe which (on the Chicago bus) is located near the top in the rear of the bus. IMO, this might be better dispersed with a small fan to avoid impeding the vision of drivers following close behind. However, since I haven't followed one directly, I cannot say if the exhaust density is "hazardous".
