Is it just Canadian water, or what? Naw cant be, been fishing in Ontario for years, waters just fine. Is it the cold, or maybe just the irritating "eh" after every sentence? I know that would drive me nuts too...

Hi Sam! I liked your groundhog story. Good for you! It is incredible, isn't it? All these nations....your country, my country, all ganging up on Yugoslavia? One tiny little country. Seems almost like overkill...except for when our men start coming home, dead. Then it won't seem so much like that. And yet.....what does one do when a nation begins to turn against it's own and begin to murder it's own countrymen? How can a civilized world turn a blind eye? And yes, I know that we've turned a blind eye in Africa and other areas....but that is there and this is here. I like the analogy that one person gave about Quebec. If the English descent Canadians all of a sudden began to murder the French descent Canadians, should the rest of the world turn a blind eye? I don't think so. And there you may have the answer as to why we (meaning the US, Canada, and the European nations) have decided to stand up and say NO!, Yugoslavia is European....Yugoslavia is us. We can't let them do that anymore. We actually can't let any nation do that anymore..even if we have to kill every single last one of them. <g> I just think that perhaps there could've been a different way to stop it than by bombing. But I don't know what that different way would have been. And a good portion of me just wishes that we'd mind our own business. But another part of me says, how could we? I don't know the answers Sam...but I do know this...I'll be glad when all this is over. Juanita
