Scott, Re: Soda machines that direct the work of humans and "Here we are already seeing the beginning of machines guiding or "controlling" the behavior of humans." Well, yes, in a way. But this is at the behest of humans. By human design. For human benefit. A process designed by and for humans. I realistically have to suspect it will always remain so. Just so we don't let big brother do too much programming, we should be alright...the machines IMHO will never become self aware- no way no how.
