Once again, you make the fallacious argument of "If you dont think these stocks are worth their current market caps, then you dont understand technology and/or you're simple-minded."

Why dont you get off your high horse for a moment and wrap a few neurons around the FACT that the internet is going to squeeze the hell out of margins in all forms of capitalism? Giving consumers access to multiple vendors and multiple prices in real-time is the worst nightmare of any company that ever intends to make a profit on the net. (but hey, if you haven't realized that the purpose of most internet companies is to make their executives wealthy through selling stock, then i've got a bridge in brooklyn i'd like to sell you)

The net WILL be revolutionary in many ways, but its not going to change the fact that bricks for houses will always be made by local vendors, that milk will come from a local dairy, and that books and videos are a commodity item with very little profit margin. Industries which are currently no more than "middlemen" between producers and consumers will get squeezed out due to streamlining of the ordering process, and many parts of the banking and brokerage industry will be unrecognizable in a few years. But a hell of a lot of stuff will stay the same.
