Candidates to pursue the CEO need to figure out what to do with Digital, a company it supposed to die like Wang's Lab in 80s but Compaq saved it. The price for saving Digital is just too high to image. You must have watched a movie named "Saving private Ryne", a story about saving one to lose five. Compaq repeated the history on the Street.
