Maurice:

At the last conference I went to where G* spoke, they were asked about capacity issues. They have taken into account all these factors that are brought up as a negative here. The theoretical capacity was some absurd 300 billion minutes, and the 12 billion they use now is adjusted for the myriad of naysayer capacity constraint issues. I know the new posters here are filled with expertise, but I would venture that they probably don't know as much as those who designed the system. Just a guess though.

I have a basic question/concern about the quantity and quality of subscribers. With the rapid buildout of traditional wireless coupled with phones that seek out the wireless option first, is not Globalstar at risk for having a lot of subscribers that may only generate a few minutes of Globalstar time? The number of subs may look good but what is more important; the number of subscribers, the number of satellite minutes, or some combination thereof? Clearly there will be subs always outside of cellular range but what about the large numbers of people who are travelling through the proverbial Swiss cheese with shrinking holes?
Thanks,
Steve Rachbach
