Yes...a key point....it can't sell off unless it is bought...and the folks...who are getting it at the bargain price...are feeling kinda smug....EVEN if they aren't getting it at the bottom...they KNOW that they are getting a bargain..."ON SALE"

why the sell off? oh...TAXES...maybe...? and people sitting on paper profits...feeling a sense of panic...and selling..hoping to rebuy lower...

the financial community has wanted a "correction" so badly...it becomes "self fulfilling" after a while...and CNBC loves this....more viewers! and their advertisers...the brokers and mutual funds, et al...get more commissions from all this volatility!! The analysts, even the Mary Meekers...and Abby Cohens et al, are part of all this...

Today.....the sellers...will be the "margined to the max folks"...so it might dip even more...should be an interesting open: the bargain hunters snagging shares from the margin sellers.....

BUT: the name of the game is to "Buy low....sell high"

does that give everyone...a hint as to the game plan today...??

smile....Mary

(who is backing up the truck...to load up on bargains....AOL, CMGI, XCIT, MSGI buy prices all look wonderful to me!!)

LOL at the thought that SIEBEL is valuing the subscribers....and using that as a basis for overvaluation....AOL ain't seen nuthin' yet in terms of subscribers, advertisers, other businesses (ICQ being just one of the real biggies that hasn't even been tapped yet!), and now...going beyond "the box"...to put aol...everywhere....

yeah....slowing backing up.....don't want to hit anybody...beep, beep, beep
