Is this a cautious earnings statement? Where is the projection of 10 billion by 2001? Why does the release limit itself to 1999 and not to the next few years? This is the first release that does not mention the revenue goal in "01.

Hi Ibexx,

The only thing I see after a quick read of the earnings is the revenue line is down in 1Q99 vs, 4Q98, just like Intel. Seasonality is the reason, enterprise spending hitting the max in 4Q for companies like EMC, and Christmas is it for Intel. 1Q < 4Q wrt revs was expected and predicted for both of these companies. Any excuse to sell high techs nowadays, however.
