All Aboard! - Heard on the Boards

Sun of a gun

There wasn't a positive sign in front of any of the stocks on Monday's most
actives list and there wasn't a whole lot of positive talk on their investor
message boards either. Sun Microsystems (sunw: news, msgs) fell almost
$5, or 9 percent, after word of delays in orders. It was Sun's seventh
straight daily loss and at SiliconInvestor's Sun message board, some
investors were clearly getting tired of Sun's bad run. Charles Tutt ..."Well,
today really sucked! Another 10 days at 5 bucks a day and we can buy in at
zero!" A few postings called Sun's inclusion in the Monday blood bath
unjustified, but not everybody agreed.

John Works ..."Any more unjustified than the
exponential climb to the 70 area peak at which point
Sun was up 250 percent from the October
trough? Funny how very few longs ever classified
the crazy ramp-up in these stocks as unjustified.
Sun's a great company and I'm long. But given the
still lofty valuations of everyone's favorite growth
stocks, this washout looks like it has more room to
run." And despite the spanking Sun investors have
taken over the last week, there are still those in the
stock that have held on to a level headed sense of
humor about it. Steve Dietrich ..."I think the stock
market is broken; it says I've been losing money
lately. Haven't we seen enough of these
tech-wrecks to know not to panic?"

Good work, guys.
Sueponine.
