funds ? if the market breaks even for 25 yrs and your mer = 2 %, you will only have 60 % of your money left after 25 years...

and if the market declines...5 % a year for 10 yrs each, plus the 2 % fees, in ten years, half your money is gone...

THC, That is why mutual funds are set up to pay a % of assets no matter how they do, in most cases. As a manager, I actually prefer the hedge fund and commodity fund set up, but it requires an honest manager. Unfortunately, there is too much incentive for managers to swing for the fences and not enough penalty for striking out.
