I agree that a portal deal would be sweet. I thought it unfortunate that while Mr. Godin was having an excellent interview this am on CNBC, the split screen box was flashing up info on BIDS and it noted AOL's decreased stake from 4.9% to 1%. That made me cringe...

I think advertising beats a good portal site though. Look at that Victoria's Secret ad on the Superbowl and what that did for their website. I realize that Bid.com's site does not have the appeal of VS's sassy models, but the TV reaches a lot of Internet users...
