If I had a short position I would be covering in a hurry! Currently I have no positions or holdings in Bid.Com.

This stock price will not move a mercurially as it has in the past. The Nasdaq involvement will ensure that. Also, linking with a big portal player is likely to be the only way out. However, all the big boys are likely to start on-line auctions of their own. Why should they pay to link to a separate company.

Amazon.Com is already there with its own auction site. AOL, YHOO, etc are sure to follow through. Its easy for them. They already have the infrastructure and HUGE audience already in place...
