The fundamental problem with Gary Craft's ideas and recommendations is his favorable selection of fringe players and negativity on the market dominant-market leader. If there is one lesson of the stock market in the past several years, it is the dramatic outperformance of the biggest companies to the detriment of the secondary players. In the internet-related arena, particularly, the one who really owns the space owns the gain in market cap (witness - AOL, AMZN, YHOO, EBAY); but I guess I didn't need to tell you guys that, it has been so rewarding to follow it and so painful if you strayed too far down the market share ladder. Checkfree has so many of the same characteristics of the four companies mentioned above, the major difference is: CKFR's services are now where most of those companies were a few years ago -- at the takeoff point, braced for astrogeometric [sic.] growth.
