Don,

76 out of 100 or so.

The Mavica killed us in 1998.

Olympus is a formidable opponent who will not let go of SmartMedia.

Don,

Read a nice article on the Nikon Coolpix 950. It has had good reviews in general. There is mention that the choice of removable memory is a big advantage as uncompressed .tiff-type files can reach upto 5 MB with the newer 2 megapixel CCD's.

A comparison was made with the Fuji MX-2700 (the follow-up to the MX-700) and the Nikon was felt to be the best choice for serious, non-professional photographers. Fuji continues to embrace SmartMedia for reasons that are unclear to me.
