Can you imagine the result if a car/truck with 500+ pounds of fuel cell at 600 to 800 degrees C gets into an accident?

probably as much damage as the the "comparable" hydrogen tanks going ballistic!!

500 lbs of fuel cell???...lol....where did you get that figure??..lol

What happens to an ICE engine that is hotter and heavier than a fuel cell when it gets in an accident??....they happen everyday (car accidents)?

Yes, should a PEM freeze up (It gets cold in Canada) and it has not been purged and it freezes it is toast!

If your going to make an analogy about accidents please explain to us all what happens if one of these scenarios you describe happens? Do you know? I suggest you find out what happens to a regular ICE vehicle thats heavier and hotter first. Once youve done that, then I suggest you find out what happens in the scenario you describe in your post and describe the details. Lastly just for fun, why dont you tell us what happens to one of your busses when it gets into an accident, especially what happens when the fuel containment system ruptures.

Hey, if there is a potential problem with the SOFC cell I would like to know. You seem to know, but have failed to say. Perhaps you can educate us all. Information relative to the weight would be nice as well.

In other words I guess no I cant imagine what happens. Please explain what happens and why, to all of the above.
