Its looking a bit miserable but I have this theory about MMs and a theory about margin accounts.

The MM theory is fairly well known and concerns their known parentage or otherwise.......................!!

My other theory if that if you have a combination of marginable and non marginable portfolio it is sometimes preferable to dump some non marginable stock to keep your total exposure to a recovery higher.
For instance, not the perfect example, i fancy selling say 10,000 MUCP @ say $20,000 total and then I can buy $40,000 of say INSGY.

Conversely, if I was holding INSGY and got a margin call, I'd prefer to sell MUCP. Maybe I am just peculiar but in my mind I could make more if INSGY really bounced back more than an MUCP type stock.
Of course, if the MUCP goes through the bleedin roof and the INSGY languishes, then you have really pissed on your chips............!! But, hey who said making money was easy ?
