Definitely not a desirable position - lined up in INTC crosshairs. INTC is certainly making a push into the networking world, buying Level One and now talking about targeting networking processor market. On the flip side though, INTC is not always successful targeting new markets. For those that follow the programmable logic market; INTC was unable to make a dent in that market against established companies like XLNX and ALTR, finally INTC sold off the division to ALTR. Granted these are two totally different markets and the programmable market was very well established with many players, and the networking processor market fits into INTC expertise - developing kick ass processors. Any thoughts ?
