Vman: Qualcomm is in the process of working up a bill for G* wrt updated software. One would assume that the new load will increase the capacity of the system.

I believe that G* has claimed from the original prospectus that it could offer on the order of 12B call minutes per year. Some quick arithmetic shows that could be very consistent with VMans 2700 circuits per satellite, if each satellite has an effective use of 16 hours per day that it's over a land mass (25% of the time), then

2700*48*60*16*365*.25=11.3 B call minutes. (I hope G* uses a more sophisticated model!) I don't know how you could get to 300B call minutes however.
