Shea Jones, The fact that they did not warn in that press conference related to Office2k earnings means that they will not blow away number in my opinion. Remember they had told analysts not to reduce estimates.

That means no blow-out quarter as far as I am concerned. My guess for this quarter would be 33 to 35 cents.
If I had to pick a number, I would go with 34. IMHO, it won't sell off on such a number due to the deferal of revenue to next quarter.
I could be wrong in case they played around with the recognition of revenue from the unearned revenue account. In fact it may be time to recognize the deferal on the Office97 revenues from the past couple of years. OK--I don't have a clue on the EPS this quarter!! It will be interesting to watch that particular account---I don't think we will see big increases in unearned revenue.

mean about short memories

my recollection is maffei said we'll still make numbers
even though we're deferring 400 mill to next quarter--
what a blowout that one should be.
