t2k, though I agree with your concerns over y2k, I don't think that sell off will happen until much later this Fall.

I, for one, am very confident that MSFT will mix positive guidance with negative guidance, unlike their traditional 100% negative guidance -- this, in effect, will be a positive.

Lastly, don't underestimate MSFT's understanding of how important their performance is to the overall Market. There have been numerous instances over the years where MSFT's actions, either through news or earnings releases, have help support the Market in times of need.
One way or another, MSFT will be a part of what gets this market and the tech stocks rolling forward.
