Yes I remember that statement well. This note by Unique seems to give some confirmation of that switch. Besides air conditioning which is the biggest electrical draw power steering, electric brakes electric fuel pumps could all tie into the SLI system. One other note on Unique, they say that they have delivered 15 motors and controllers for hybrid-electric transit buses revenue value of $432,090. which is admittedly a small amount. This works out to $28,800 per vehicle. I would imagine that there is a lot of hand labour in these creations. If they cut pollution significantly I can see them becoming mandatory on mining equipment, mobile cranes, school buses and eventually the trucking and farming industries. These are substantial markets in which our battery can play a key role.
