I have recently neglected to follow my old rule and sell the play stocks on the day they split as they very often go down and can then be bought back cheaper

Many people seem to do this frequently--with splits or with pre-earnings run ups--but if it isn't done in an IRA/KEOGH, do you really make that much more than buying and holding--because of cap gain taxes--? Just curious.
Thanx
Jill

Sig,

I was very busy at work today and missed both. :-(

I did buy a FOTM INKT call last evening which has appreciated nicely today. :-)

I would appreciate if you can let me know your feelings about CNET. I am rather positive about the business model. But I am very skeptical of the multiple and projected growth rate.

ot ot ot SIG, SPYG Tim, Here's little company that's close to my neck of woods, SPYG. I feel Spyglass has made bottom here after years of decline. Also, SPYG has has made recently two very important deals with sony and the evil MSFT again. Check it out I'm about to tell the sig on the DELL broad, I bought SPYG this AM.

Well, I told tim before you, sorry. <ggg>

The imbedded browser market will be large and fits right into my thinking with PC being passed by other devices to access the net. SPYG should be in the thick of things. SPYG just reported a profit with todays earning release. I'm betting SPYG has gotten it together now and the time has come for them to shine.
