MSFT reported above expectations ($0.35 vs. 0.32). However, it appears that they added about $.06 to $.07/share in additional investment income compared to last quarter. In other words, if investment income was the same as last year, MSFT would have reported about $.29/share - below expectations. Interesting to see how analysts look at these numbers.

Gone to Paris on vacation the past 5 days and I missed all the action. I'm still short - waiting on Kosovo ground troops and interest rates. Recent high quality new corporate bond issues yield 9 to 10%. Looks like oil prices will hold firm and money is starting to flow abroad - see Warren Buffett.
