Richard, I just checked the prices on the PII350 and I see what you mean about it being a sweet spot -- they've come down a lot. Regarding the slow 98: You say the more software you install the slower it gets: Is that true even if you don't have the programs running -- only loaded on the HDD? Could you explain that a bit? I really would like to understand why 98 is so slow -- it doesn't seem like the added features should make such a difference. Regarding the defrag on 98: mine has the option of using the special defrag mode which makes programs start faster, and it DOES have a dramatic effect. Thanks for the info, wily
