I think that MSFT issuing a dividend would be VERY BAD! That would tell me that they don't have any better way to invest profits anymore. So far, they've been pretty good... Just my thoughts. Back to lurking.

[I think MSFT should start to pay us shareholders div since it has been making so much money.] This will never happen because of their compensation model, i.e. the stock options. The employees would be furious, as a dividend provides no benefit to options holders.
