Hi Ernie,

Logic may fail, where the mechanics are not fully understood.

Market Makers have two or more accounts for a particular equity, from which they buy and sell shares to meet the needs of the market.

In addition, Market Makers may trade among other MMs for a variety of reasons. They may also do weird things with the pricing of the Bid/Ask; if they need to scare up extra shares or anticipate a coming run.

My personal thoughts are, that they knew it was you - so they intentionally held the price up just over your offer, as an intentional snub!

We colonial riff-raff behave that way, from time to time.

Regards,

John :-)

ps: You're welcome for the previous suggestion, as to how you might save some money.
