Apple Unveils New QuickTime Version

CUPERTINO, Calif. (AP) - Apple Computer Inc., seeking to strengthen its position in the delivery of audio and video files over the Internet, has introduced a new version of its QuickTime software. QuickTime 4 software, unlike its predecessor QuickTime 3, allows for the "streaming" of live video and audio events over the Internet. Apple's upgrade of QuickTime is seen as a challenge to rivals Microsoft Corp. and RealNetworks Inc. QuickTime 4, available as a free "public beta" version, also includes support for the MP3 digital-music format.

Looks like both of them (I mean AAPL and RNWK) will go down tomorrow.
